Riding jeans are the quintessential ‘cowboy’ look, athletically-inspired pants designed to help riders stay comfortable and effective in the saddle.
To this end, they’re made to fit snugly on the seat and legs, ending in hems that remain inside tall boots or half chaps. To maintain mobility and an unrestricted sense of freedom of movement despite the close fit, all riding jeans are made to offer either two-way or four-way stretch.
Some riding jeans are also equipped with knee patches for grip in jumping position or with full seats for help with dressage work. Jeans are traditional made from a denim fabric which is both durable and strong and comfortable.
Riding jean colours for vary between lighter blues to darker navies, browns and blacks. Many riders choose to adorn their jeans with a brighter coloured belt or top to make a more fashionable statement¬¬.
